About mE

I am a very indecisive person. For the majority of my life I had no idea who or what I wanted to be. I had invisioned myself as a quick witted lawyer, graceful ballerina, or maybe a craft-loving teacher. As I grew older, feedback from friends and career path finders confused my vision even more. There were so many options! How could I possibly choose just one?

When the time to pick a major came around I was at a loss. I knew that I wanted to be in a profession that worked with people (like that really narrowed it down...)  I did enjoy the idea of communications and finally decided on Business Marketing. Surely this would be a great fit for me.The shiny world of fancy advertisment and words intrigued me but something was just missing. I felt my indecisive side surfacing and knew that I was about to change my mind once again. After trying out a few other majors, the world of healthcare revealed itself to me and it was all over.

Let's just say that falling in love with healthcare hit me harder than a volleyball to the face (thanks Erick from 12th grade PE...) For once in my life I felt confident that this is what I was supposed to be doing. After a lot of hard work and help from friends, I graduated with a certificate in Medical Assisting and am nationally certified under the American Association of Medical Assistants.

I had the privilege to work with outragiously wise mentors that helped me understand that I did not have to settle for just being awesome, I could be great. Oddly enough, there was a way to mingle my marketing skills with my healthcare obsession. I am currently working as the Business Development Coordinator for my practice and pursuing a degree in Healthcare Leadership and Administration.

I firmly believe that the world of healthcare is changing for the better. There will be a need for healthcare professionals to lead this movement, and I will be one of them. I hope to be the type of leader that encourages innovative development and passion for helping others.
